Original Items: Only One Set Available. This uniform coat is not only appealing to the eye but is also of great historical significance. Despite appearing to be a standard General's “Summer White” uniform set, there are a few distinctive features that set it apart from others.

The uniform belonged to Lieutenant General Charles A. Corcoran. His obituary can be seen at this link.

The uniform itself is in excellent condition and boasts impressive devices, a “sewn on” ribbon rack and a “plastic” Presidential Unit Citation, making it truly stand out. While we have not been able to source much information on General Corcoran, we were able to find the following information: General Corcoran had a distinguished military career that spanned 42 years. He began by enlisting in the Pennsylvania National Guard in 1931 and retired in 1973 as Chief of Staff of the United States Pacific Command at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

During his career, he held several key positions, including Commander 25th Division Artillery in Korea, Chief Nuclear Planning at SHAPE Headquarters in Paris, Commanding General of the 5th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado, and Commanding General of the First Field Force and Chief of Staff of MACV in Vietnam. He also served as Secretary of the General Staff at the Department of the Army in Washington DC.

General Corcoran was a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College and the National War College. He received many military awards, including the Distinguished Service Medal (3OLC), Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, as well as foreign awards and decorations. He was a decorated veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam conflict. General Corcoran served his country with dedication and honor.

The jacket boasts several unique features that set it apart from other military jackets. The obvious General star devices on the epaulets are particularly noteworthy, as they indicate the 2nd highest rank possible in the US Army. A medal ribbon bar is also present on the jacket, which would have been used to display the General's various military honors and awards, which all appear to be correct and present.

While only the service coat is not named in a “glorious” manner, it does however have his name written in ink on the interior pocket. The uniform coat is in excellent condition, with no visible signs of extensive wear or damage aside from the expected staining due to it being an all white uniform.

The Summer White peaked visor is in similar, worn condition with areas of visible age toning and staining. The cap is an “in-country” purchased example made by Shanghai Vans Brothers Cap Factory in Taipei, Taiwan, bearing the same company name embossed in silver on the sweatband. The cap has the correct “C.A. CORCORAN” marked identification card. Aside from the age toning and staining, this is an excellent example of a summer white visor.

A wonderful, historical uniform set that comes with research and more than ready for further research and display.

Cute little read
Format: Paperback
I thought this book was a good quick read! Plot: 4⭐️ I won’t spoil it but there is a trope I wasn’t fond of in this toward the end of the book, BUT it’s a very realistic response to the situation. (I am not making it okay in ANY means). I do wish there would have been a little more fun memories between them as friends. Characters: I think Carly did a great job keeping the characters realistic. Yes the FMC parents had some money but it was a refresher that nobody was spoiled and the MMC earned his way into medical school.

John Candy References!
Format: Kindle
Persephone is thirty years old and she just got dumped. She didn’t really care, he didn’t mean much to her and she never really let him in, even after seven months. She gets a phone call that has her racing back to her past, the small town of Barry’s Bay, and back into the life of the one who got away… Sam Florek. For six summers Percy and Sam were inseparable. The friendship naturally blossomed and grew into something more and he became the man she never wanted to live without, until it fell apart in a splash. Percy returns for Sam’s mothers funeral and all the feelings come rushing back, their connection burning as brightly as it had twelve years ago. But Percy has a secret, a reason for why she broke up with him, and until she tells him, they can never be together. Told in dual timelines, we unravel the mystery of the once in a lifetime love story between two people who were as fated as a couple could be. First and foremost, there are not one but TWO John Candy references in this book. He is a late Canadian actor who was popular in the 80s. Most will know him as the Polka Player from home alone but I know him from so much more. Trust me, he deserves this paragraph of recognition and I praise the author for including him as he is slowly being forgotten. Now onto the story. I loved it. No ifs ands or buts about it. I absolutely love this story. It is a dual timeline, second chance romance and I think it got me out of my reading slump. I finished it in less than 2 days and couldn’t put it down. The history of the characters, watching them slowly fall in love and come to terms with their feelings. Seeing how they struggle over the long distances and other romances that pop up. It was so well written and it felt like I was watching two people I knew in real life fall for each other. It was so realistic , even the lows had me tearing up but remaining hopeful. The twist, the reason why they broke up, was predictable. I saw it coming not long into the book but it didn’t take away from the heartache I felt when it was revealed. I enjoyed that we also got to explore relationships outside of the main love interest. We got to know Percy’s friends and how they interacted with Sam too which was a nice break from the romance and gave depth outside of the love interest. Great book and I’m so thankful it got recommended to me.

Charming and Summery, But Longer Than It Should Be
Format: Paperback
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5 Stars) I listened to Every Summer After on audio, and at first, it really felt like it had the potential to be a solid 4-star read for me. The beginning is charming, easy to sink into, and definitely has that cozy, nostalgic summer atmosphere that so many readers love. It’s a cute, pleasant story with a smooth flow, and the type of book you can listen to without needing to focus too deeply. However, as the story went on, the pacing became a real issue. At around ten hours, this audiobook felt unnecessarily long. The plot didn’t have enough depth or twists to justify that length, and I honestly think it would have been a much stronger book if it wrapped up closer to the seven-hour mark. Around the midpoint, I found myself losing interest at times simply because the narrative stretched itself thin. When it comes to the writing itself, Carley Fortune keeps things very simple. There’s nothing particularly inspiring, profound, or memorable about the prose. It’s straightforward and easy to follow, but it doesn’t stand out, and I wouldn’t say it’s developed enough to be considered a distinct “writing style.” It does the job, but it never elevates the story or adds emotional depth the way some authors can. I also didn’t fall deeply in love with the characters. They were fine, but not the type that stay with you after the book is over. Because the character connection never fully clicked for me, the slower pacing felt even more noticeable, and some of the emotional beats didn’t land as strongly as they were intended to. Overall, Every Summer After is an easy, pleasant listen — perfect if you’re looking for something light, summery, and uncomplicated. While the overly long runtime, very simple writing, and limited emotional connection kept it at 3.5 stars for me, it’s still a sweet story that delivers exactly what many readers look for in a nostalgic summer romance. I’m still open to exploring more of Carley Fortune’s books, and I’m curious to see how her other stories compare!

a perfect summer romance
Format: Paperback
this book was phenomenal!! i loved every page and i fell in love with the story and characters. it’s told in past and present timelines over the course of six summers and one weekend 12 years later. you get small town, second chance romance, childhood best friends to lovers to strangers to lovers, and more! some of my fav tropes in one book <3 i love the parallel events between the past and present chapters, seeing how percy and sam grown and matured but also stay the same throughout the years (iykyk - the friendship bracelets, “swear on it”, ice cream). their attraction and connection are undeniable! the book perfectly captures friendship, teenage angst, first love, loss, mistakes, and forgiveness. it’s also about finding your person, someone who understands you like no other. the writing was spectacular - it was so magical and enchanting as it encapsulated summer nostalgia at a lakeside cottage. i felt like i experienced every summer with percy and sam. i love how real and relatable the characters are. percy and sam are two flawed characters that let their fears get in their way, but they try their best to repair what they broke. i adore sam so so much, he’s the sweetest and kindest guy who loves really hard. the sarcasm and banter between the two were soo good too, i loved how we get a glimpse of what they were like at 13 and then at 30. this is the PERFECT summer read, i highly recommend it!! i promise you’ll love this if you love ‘love and other words’ by christina lauren! i didn’t think i’d find a book like laow that hits the same, but reading this book made my lil laow heart so happy 💞 i’m blown away by the fact that this is carley fortune’s debut novel and i hope there is more to come!

A book that hugs back.
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
I picked this book for my brother-in-law when we were celebrating my sister’s pregnancy, and the title ‘Why a daughter needs a dad’ sealed the deal. The illustrations are beautiful and full of tenderness. The messages on each page are simple and meaningful. I could so clearly picture him reading it to his baby girl someday. It’s the kind of book that isn’t just read – it’s felt. A thoughtful gift for someone you love – especially during such a special season of life.
