This romantic vintage red velvet dress was custom-made in the late 1930s (possibly early 1940s), and is entirely one-of-a-kind. The maxi-length crushed red velvet is so rich. It features a gathered empire waist, with long tailored sleeves that come to a point at the cuff. It was reworked and modernized around the 1970s, with a zipper added in the back, making it easier to wear. Because of the empire waist, this can also be an incredible vintage maternity dress. Closes in the back with a zipper.

The Antique Victorian Heart Locket pictured is also available. 

Measurements: This will best fit a size X-Small, Small and possibly Medium; please refer to below measurements. It is smaller through the shoulders and chest, with more flexibility through the waist and hips.

Empire waist/underbust: about 29", gathering offers some forgiveness there
Hips are open up to 45"
Length: 53"


Good vintage condition overall; there were some repairs made to the fabric at the bottom skirt towards hem. We got this toy to replace an earlier purchase for a rope/squeak toy after finding he loved a holiday purchase by an Aunt which squeaked but was not really meant for tugging/heavy playing like he wanted too, for our half pug/schnauzer Mr. Pug. The crinkly ears were also an enjoyable surprise for him, and the squeaker can move around the torso area of the toy keeping him actively looking for it when he desires it. All in all we would certainly get another toy like this in the future.

My 4 legged "little boy" loves to play, even at 10 years old but is getting a tad "over the hill" for chasing a ball. When this one is finally torn apart, I will be buying another one (if the dog out lasts it), or I will bury my pet with this one if it out lasts him. It's that special.
