Aloe 'Zanzibar' is a succulent native to Kenya, known for its erect stems adorned with short lanceolate-shaped green leaves edged with bright teeth. This plant suckers profusely, forming dense stands or ground cover, and produces infrequent orange-red flowers on unbranched spikes in mid to late summer. It prefers well-drained soil in light shade to full sun and is hardy down to 20-25°F. Originating from Kenya, it is often sold under various synonyms like Aloe zanzibarica and Aloe concinna. Ideal for containers or hanging baskets, it adds a unique touch to any garden landscape with its distinctive appearance and occasional orange-red flowers.
