- Gradual release: the sachets keep feeding out mites over time beyond the application day.
- More tolerant of dry air: better suited to lower humidity than Phytoseiulus persimilis.
- Can survive on pollen for a while: useful when pest pressure is still low.
Best use cases
- Hang the sachets in sheltered spots near foliage and close to the part of the collection being monitored.
- Do not open the sachets; they already have an exit hole.
- Hold sachets by the cardboard strip at the top to avoid damage.
- Repeat after about 4–6 weeks if spider mite pressure is still visible.
Conditions & limits
- Best fit: early use and lighter infestations
- Working range: most effective at about 13–32 °C
- Humidity: sensitive to relative humidity below about 60 %
- Best for early pressure: heavy spider mite pressure may need a faster specialist predator as well
How to set it up
Use it early, while pest pressure is still manageable. Consistent placement and timing matters more than changing products frequently.
Combine with basic hygiene: remove heavily damaged leaves, isolate affected plants, and check neighbouring pots so you treat the full area.
