These are pure Philodendron tenue plants taken from cuttings from your mother plant, not something you often see in nurseries in Australia. The leaves are long and narrow with a soft heart shape and heavy ribbing that runs from the centre vein out to the edges which gives them a pleated, sculpted look. As they mature the surface thickens and the ridges become more defined. Tenue also produces small extrafloral nectaries at the point where the leaf meets the petiole which is a normal feature of this species. It grows steadily in bright filtered light with higher humidity and a chunky aroid mix that drains well. Having a true tenue available is rare so it’s a great chance for collectors who want a clean species line.
