This evergreen shrub is a superior local selection originating from the Drew Family Ranch in Calistoga, where it has been grown for over 30 years. ‘Davy’s Love’ produces vibrant purple blooms from spring through fall and forms a large, structural shrub with excellent tolerance to drought, coastal conditions, deer, gophers, and even fire. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds are strongly attracted to its flowers.

This variety was named in memory of Davy, the son of the grower who shared it with us, and in his honor, $0.50 from every plant sold is donated to Okizu.org, supporting children affected by childhood cancer.
